A group of Infor employees from the Chicago office formed a group, invited their family and friends and ventured out to a performance of the musical, Little Shop of Horrors by Quest Theatre Ensemble.
Quest Theatre Ensemble is a not for profit organization that is dedicated to being the People's Theatre of Chicago. They create visual and meaningful productions that "Inform, Delight, Inspire and Unite" and are committed to making theatre accessible to everyone. Quest believes in non-exclusionary art, and therefore their productions are free. Quest feels that when you start putting a price on art, you start excluding and Quest does not want to exclude anyone.
The Chicago Infor office has supported this worthwhile organization in many ways. Gwen Nielsen and Jo Marie Lang are active Board Members responsible for guiding, advising and promoting fundraising events for Quest. Christopher Mukasa is a volunteer behind the scenes and in front of the house. Other Infor employees, Shaun Airey, Andy Springer, Todd Marciniak, Venson Kuchipudi, Alberto Cara, Kim Fisher, Crispina Chong, Joe Trimarco, Tom West, Rachael Lovegrove, Nina O'Neil, Ali Alkhafaji and Imelda Kiagos have either attended performances and made donations to help support the theatre or participated in the theatre's fundraising events. They have helped support the theatre to continue doing what they're doing, offering free theatre to better serve the community.
See the Chicago office in action as they show their Enterprising Spirit.
One of the longest-running Off-Broadway shows of all time, Little Shop of Horrors, tells the story of Seymour Krelbourn, a clumsy employee of Muskin's Flower Shop on skid row where he daydreams of his co-worker Audrey. With the flower shop on the brink of closing, Seymour discovers an alien plant he names Audrey II to attract business. The plant brings Seymour fame, fortune and love; the only defect is the plant feeds on blood! After making a deal to feed the plant human bodies in return for beloved attention, Seymour believes all is well, but the plant has other ideas?
A well-known story, with a score by the songwriting team who redefined the animated musical film with Disney's "The Little Mermaid", "Beauty And The Beast" and "Aladdin", Little Shop also offers Quest the opportunity to put our puppetry expertise to use in creating the killer plant Audrey II.
